Pratap Reddy began his career at the R&D centre of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, under the guidance of its founder, Dr. K. Anji Reddy. There he gained experience in both pharmaceutical research and industrial operations.

In 2001 he turned entrepreneur and set up his own API manufacturing facility. In the years since, he has developed and supplied active pharmaceutical ingredients and nutraceutical products to customers in India and international markets, and has built more than two decades of expertise in Glucosamine.

He has taken products through every stage, from laboratory research and process development to scale-up and commercial manufacturing. He runs the business on three principles: consistent quality, continuous innovation in processes and products, and competitive cost.

Vidya Sagar began his career in the foundry industry. In 1984 he joined Nelcast Limited at Gudur, where he served as Technical Director, and in his 15 years there the company earned an international reputation for automotive iron castings.

In 2000 he took over a closed citrus-processing company in Gudur, modernised it and turned it around within a year. As Managing Director he has built it into Cifal Herbal, which makes citrus lime products, herbal extracts, nutraceutical ingredients and spray-dried powders for food, pharma and nutraceutical companies in India and abroad. Its plant is certified to ISO 9001, WHO-GMP, FSSC 22000, FSSAI, Halal and Kosher standards.

His work has been recognised with the Best Entrepreneur award of the Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation (2005), the Government of India’s National Award for MSMEs (2007) and the Pearls of AP award of the Government of Andhra Pradesh (2009).
